This is the great deal for tech savvy people that Internet will be free in Bangalore(Karnataka).According to reports, the government of Karnataka has decided to start offering free Wi-Fi to people of the Bangalore to remain connected with their friends and family, apart from the freedom to browse the web at any given time. This type of facility is named as “Namma Wi-Fi” given by government . This facility provided by the government is the first in the country, which allow the people to use different devices like smartphones, tablets, laptops and others around MG Road and Brigade in Bangalore.
Road or even at Shantinagar or Yeshwantpur bus terminals, apart from offering the service in Indiranagar as well.
"The facility is the main first pace to make Bangalore a smart and connected city".The Wi-Fi provider and the Internet service provider D-VoiS Broadband Ltd will provide the facility.This facility will be started from most probably by April. This is the first proposal for the state IT department and the state government's ICT (information and communications technologies) group, the new free internet facility is currently aiming to extend this free facility up to 10 other hotspots across the city later in 2014.
Soon As far as the service itself is concerned, the user will be provided to have an authentication password, which will be sent to his or her mobile number after the user is done registering on the network.If a mobile user is present in any of the five hotspots, he will be able to connect by configuring his device to our ION service and access internet until or unless he is the registered user ," Mr. Satya stated in the meeting.
If I talk about the usage of internet,it will be limited to three hours a day or up to 50 MB data. The new service is projected to assist thousands of users looking to visit any of the five chosen internet hotspots.
