New leaked documents that IE11 will also include what is being called a “Click to Call” option that would allow users to easily dial phone numbers found online straight from the page of browser.
While it is not yet clear if this feature is based on the Skype Click to Call browser plug in or it appears that it might be turned on by default in Internet Explorer 11.
“By using Click to Call if you want to use a specific app to dial phone numbers when you click on them, you can choose the app in Default Programs first. What you choose will only apply to your user account and won't affect other user accounts on the PC,” Microsoft explains.
More details will be provided soon, as Windows 8.1 Preview is set to make its public debut on June 26 at the BUILD developer conference in San Francisco.
